Abstract

Background. The process of creating intellectual property in the country in the last 3–5 years has caused contradictory conclusions among politicians, officials, journalists, scientists and educators. The supposed beneficial mutual influence of this process on the formation of an effective labor market is also not indisputable in modern conditions. Therefore, the authors formulated the goal of the study – to obtain and analyze quantitative estimates of the process of creating intellectual property in the country. The goal is
achieved by solving the problems of modeling the trends in the process and by evaluating the statistical relationship between the indicators of inventive activity and the main results of labor activity.
Methods. The work uses data from the Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia. Along with econometric methods of correlation-regression analysis, the authors used methods of technical analysis. The application of methods of technical analysis outside
the area of the stock market is a feature of this work.
Results. The models describing the creation and implementation of patents for inventions and industrial designs have been developed, both from the point of view of the dynamics of processes and in the aspect of territorial differences in the results of work. Economic interpretations of simulation results are given.
Conlusions. The set of proposed methods and models allows you to objectively assess the current state and prospects for the development of inventive activities. It is concluded that so far there are no statistically significant estimates of the links between the activity of inventors and the created jobs in the regions of the country.

Key words
